Looking Sharp

Our kids have been looking mangier and mangier every day. Finally when Eddie's cowlick/bed head resulted in him looking ridiculous for church, I decided it might be time for a hair cut. Of course, Violet's hair is in her face so much that she just looks through it, under it, around it, etc. So they were both overdue for a trim. Luckily we got a Cookie Cutters coupon. A sign, maybe?

So we went in today and I can't believe how much older our kids look now that they aren't scraggly.

In other news, we took a trip to the zoo last Saturday to enjoy the nice weather and get some sunshine. It was Dave's first opportunity to see the new Rocky Shores exhibit. Violet was most excited about the monkeys and the sea lions. Eddie was most excited about the monkeys and the armadillo. We decided that an armadillo looks like a mixture of a rat and a roly-poly bug. Eddie could've stood there watching it root around all day. It was a nice day to get out of the house and get some exercise before the inversion came back. We are definitely getting cabin fever at our house.
